Who is this training for?
The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification that has been specifically designed for those who would like to become a Mental Health First Aider within their workplace. It is appropriate for those over the age of 18, who have an interest in mental health first aid and would like to raise their awareness of mental health within the work environment and develop active listen skills and guidance on supporting work colleagues.
Although this qualification is ideal for those who are line managers or work within Human Resources departments, any member of staff with an interest in undertaking the role of a Mental Health First Aider can attend this course.
What is covered?
Throughout this 2-day course, learners will develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to actively promote positive mental health in the workplace, covering a range of topics, including:
1. Understanding mental health and its importance
2. Awareness of your own wellbeing as a Mental Health First Aider
3. Common mental health conditions
4. How to support those experiencing poor mental health at work
5. Understand the importance of active listening and non-judgemental support.

Certification and Accreditation
Candidates are continually assessed throughout the course and will be required to gain a pass mark on one theory multiple choice questionnaire.
Those who successfully pass this course will receive a Qualsafe certificate that is valid for 3 years.
This qualification raises learners’ awareness of mental health, develops an understanding on how to support, reassure and signpost fellow team members to professional support.
