Essential Training for Parents & Carers
This course is delivered by a Registered Nurse trained in Advanced Paediatric Life Support. It is not a formal workplace qualification but provides essential life saving skills for anyone caring for babies and young children. You will receive a certificate of attendance valid for one year and a paediatric first aid manual to keep as a reference.

Do I need any previous first aid experience?
No previous experience is required. The course is designed for complete beginners and is delivered in an informal, supportive environment. Everything is taught from scratch.
Is this course a formal qualification?
This is not a formal workplace qualification. It is essential training for personal use, designed for parents, grandparents, and carers. If you need a formal paediatric first aid qualification for work (nursery, childminding, school), please see our Paediatric First Aid (2 Day) or Emergency Paediatric First Aid courses.
How long does the course last?
The course is 3 hours long. It is designed to fit into a busy parent's schedule while covering the essential skills that matter most.
Can I bring my baby to the course?
We recommend arranging childcare so you can focus fully on the training. However, we understand this is not always possible and are happy to discuss this with you when you book.
Can you deliver this course for a group?
