Is this course really free?
Yes. This Basic Life Support session is provided completely free of charge for members of the public. Simply reserve your place on our upcoming courses page.
Is this course accredited?
No. This is a free community course teaching essential life-saving skills. It is not accredited, does not award CPD points and does not meet the Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF). If you need accredited BLS for work as a healthcare professional, please see our accredited Basic Life Support Training (BLS) course or contact us.
Do I need any first aid experience?
None at all. The course is designed for complete beginners and everything is taught from scratch with plenty of hands-on practice.
How long does the session last?
Around 2 hours, including practical CPR and defibrillator practice.
Will I get a certificate?
You'll receive a certificate of attendance confirming you completed the session. As the course is not accredited, it is not intended to meet workplace or professional training requirements.
