Things to know
Common questions about this course.
What is the difference between FAW and Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)?
FAW is the full 3 day workplace first aid qualification required for higher-risk workplaces such as construction, manufacturing, and warehouses. EFAW is a 1 day course suitable for low-risk workplaces. Your workplace risk assessment should determine which is right for you.
Is this course HSE compliant?
Yes. First Aid at Work meets the Health and Safety Executive's requirements and is delivered as a Qualsafe Awards regulated qualification.
How long is the FAW certificate valid?
The Qualsafe certificate is valid for 3 years. We recommend an annual refresher to maintain skills and confidence, and a 2 day FAW Requalification course is available before the certificate expires.
Do I need any previous first aid experience?
No previous experience is required, though the 3 day course covers a wide range of injuries and medical conditions in more depth than EFAW. Everything is taught from scratch.
Can you deliver this at our workplace?
Yes, we deliver on-site FAW training across Cheshire and the North West. We bring all equipment and can train groups of up to 12. Contact us on 07958 915146 to arrange.
