Common questions about this course.
What is the difference between BLS and eILS?
BLS is a 2 hour course covering basic CPR and AED use, suitable for all healthcare workers. eILS is a more advanced 5 hour course covering the ABCDE approach, advanced airway management, cardiac arrest rhythms, and team leadership. eILS is designed for clinical staff who may need to lead the initial response to a cardiac arrest.
How long is the eILS certificate valid?
The eILS certificate is valid for one year. The Resuscitation Council UK recommends annual refreshers for life support skills.
Is there pre-course preparation?
Yes. You will be registered on our Learning Management System to complete pre-course e-learning modules and an MCQ paper. You will also receive your course manual at least two weeks before the course.
Can you deliver eILS at our workplace?
Yes, we can deliver eILS at your healthcare setting for groups. This works well for hospital departments, GP practices, and dental practices. Contact us on 07958 915146 to arrange.
How many people can attend?
Groups are kept small at a maximum of 6 participants to ensure everyone gets sufficient hands-on practice time.
