Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace

The Qualsafe Level 3 Award in Mental Health First Aid in the Workplace (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification that has been specifically designed for those who would like to become a Mental Health First Aider within their workplace. It is appropriate for those over the age of 18 who have an interest in mental health first aid and would like to raise their awareness of mental health within the work environment.

Although this qualification is ideal for those who are line managers or work within Human Resources departments, any member of staff with an interest in undertaking the role of a Mental Health First Aider can attend this course.

What Is Covered?

Throughout this 2 day course, learners will develop the knowledge, skills and confidence from a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse and Approved MHFA Instructor to actively promote positive mental health in the workplace. The course raises awareness of mental health, develops an understanding of how to support, reassure and signpost fellow team members to professional support.

Pre-Course Preparation

Pre-course preparation instructions are sent by email on confirmation of booking. You will receive a course manual at least 2 weeks prior to the course date.

Certification and Accreditation

Candidates are continually assessed throughout the course and will be required to gain a pass mark on one multiple choice assessment. Those who successfully pass will receive a Qualsafe certificate that is valid for 3 years.
