Common questions about this course.

What is the difference between MHFA and the awareness course?

The Mental Health First Aid course is a 2 day Level 3 qualification that trains you to become a designated Mental Health First Aider. The Understanding Mental Health in the Workplace course is a 1 day Level 2 awareness course for the wider team. Many organisations send key staff on the 2 day course and put the wider team through the 1 day awareness course.

Who delivers the training?

All our mental health training is delivered by a qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse who is also an Approved MHFA Instructor. They bring real clinical experience to the training.

How long is the certificate valid?

The Qualsafe certificate is valid for 3 years.

Can you deliver this at our workplace?

Do I need any previous mental health training?

No previous training or experience is required. The course is designed for anyone aged 18 or over who has an interest in supporting colleagues with mental health.
