14 April 2026

Finding accessible, high-quality CPD training can be a challenge for healthcare professionals in Ellesmere Port. The major training centres and universities are in Liverpool, Chester, and Manchester, which means a significant commute, parking hassles, and often a full day away from clinical work for what might be a relatively short course.

Our training centre at First Floor, 2 Queen Street in Northwich offers an alternative. It is about a 25 minute drive from Ellesmere Port, provides a dedicated professional learning environment, and runs a programme of CPD accredited courses throughout the year that are directly relevant to healthcare professionals across all disciplines.

We are PCT Services, and we specialise in healthcare training that is accessible, accredited, and practical.

What we offer for Ellesmere Port healthcare professionals

Clinical Supervision (2 Day)

Clinical supervision is both a professional requirement for many healthcare roles and one of the most valuable CPD activities you can undertake. Our two day course is CPD accredited with a certificate valid for three years, and groups can be up to 20.

The course covers supervision models, active listening, reflective questioning, giving and receiving feedback, contracting, and the ethical dimensions of supervision. It is designed for experienced healthcare professionals who want to provide supervision to colleagues or who want to deepen their own reflective practice.

Whether you are a nurse, a therapist, a counsellor, an allied health professional, or a clinical lead, this course provides skills that are immediately applicable to your practice and that provide robust evidence for your CPD portfolio.

Why accessible CPD matters

Healthcare professionals are busy. Between clinical workloads, administrative demands, and the pressures of staffing, finding time for professional development is difficult. When the training itself involves a long commute and a full day away from work, the barrier becomes even higher.

Our Northwich centre is designed to reduce that barrier for healthcare professionals across Cheshire, including Ellesmere Port. The 25 minute drive means less time travelling and more time learning. The scheduled courses run on set dates throughout the year, so you can plan ahead. And the practical, hands-on nature of the training means you leave with skills you can use immediately, not just theory to add to a folder.

Building your CPD portfolio

Professional bodies including the NMC, HCPC, GDC, and others require their registrants to maintain CPD. The expectations vary by regulator, but the common thread is that you must demonstrate ongoing learning, reflection, and professional development.

The most effective CPD portfolios include a mix of formal accredited courses, informal learning, and reflective practice. Our courses contribute the formal, accredited element with certificates, learning outcomes, and evidence of practical skill development that can be documented in your portfolio.

For NMC revalidation, our courses provide evidence of participatory learning and practice-related feedback. For HCPC renewal, they demonstrate continued competence and professional development. For GDC CPD requirements, our BLS and eILS courses are directly aligned with the recommended development outcomes for dental professionals.

On-site training for Ellesmere Port teams

For healthcare teams and organisations in Ellesmere Port that want to train staff together, we deliver on-site training at your workplace. This is particularly practical for BLS refreshers, where the whole team can be trained in batches during a single day without anyone having to travel.

On-site delivery also works well for clinical supervision training, mental health courses, and any programme where you want your team to learn together and apply the skills within your own organisational context.

Book your training

Check the upcoming dates on our Clinical Supervision page, our BLS page, our eILS page, our ePILS page, or our mental health course pages. Or give us a call on 07958 915146 to discuss your CPD needs or to arrange on-site training for your Ellesmere Port team.

Good CPD should be accessible, relevant, and practical. That is what we deliver, just a short drive from Ellesmere Port.
